Charactersitics:

Good for congested systems. Tonic action on liver and kidneys helps to clear body of toxins. Helps against jaundice, kidney stones, diabetes and urinary infections. Could guard against fluid retention. Effective in throat and mouth infections. Could ease neuralgia. Has a clearing effect on mucous, mainly of the digestive system.

 SKIN
 Has a balancing action on sebum, so is effective for dry and oily skins. Has a tonic and stimulating effect on the scalp.

Other uses:

Sfera Agnus Castus, vitex agnus-castus is used for menstrual irregularities including dysmenorrhea, secondary amenorrhea, metrorrhagia, oligomenorrhea, and polymenorrhea.

MODE OF ACTION

Milk Thistle Extract (Silymarin): Silibinin, the main component of Silymarin, has a strong affinity for the cytochrome P450 enzymes. These enzymes are produced by the liver and are the main constituents the liver uses to break down and eliminate toxins. Milk Thistle therefore stimulates the regeneration of the liver and also protects the liver from the toxic effects of many poisons.

Kudzu Vine (Pueraria lobata) due to its Isoflavonoid content, is responsible for lowering blood alcohol levels, and also for decreasing voluntary alcohol ingestion by influencing areas of the central nervous system that control the desire for alcohol. Kudzu therefore would be of potential benefit to alcoholics attempting to reduce their alcohol consumption. Kudzu may also facilitate the elimination of acetaldehyde from the body thereby accelerating recovery from hangovers.

NAC (N-Acetyl-Cysteine) protects the liver from damage from Advanced Glycation End products (AGEs) and the effects of a high-fat diet. NAC increases production of the antioxidant glutathione in the liver, which helps to break down toxins.

Alpha lipoic acid is a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown Alpha lipoic acid to be useful in the treatment of liver toxicity caused by toxins such as alcohol, poisons and pollutants.

Dandelion Root Extract increases phase I and phase II detoxification enzymes in the liver. It also has a positive effect on antioxidant enzymes and lipid profiles.
